AGRISTAR

Agristar d.o.o. from Visnjevac in the vicinity of Osijek was founded in 1995 as a family, completely privately owned company; it has been successful at both Croatian and foreign markets for more than sixteen years and today it employs 27 full-time employees.

The company activities comprise several inter-related areas:

• 1. Medicinal, pot and aromatic herbs production and processing organisation through the network of sub-contractors in Slavonia, Baranya and Podravina regions. The total goods production contracted in this way is purchased from the sub-contractors and marketed throughout Italy, Germany, Austria, France and Hungary
• 2. Trade mark herbal tea in teabags, herbal tea mixtures registered as diet supplement, single herbs loose package, foreign trade mark herbal teas in teabags production
• 3. Retail sale in own and foreign herb-based products through own specialized stores, herb drug stores
• 4. Import of specific medicinal, pot and aromatic herbs that do not grow in Croatian climate conditions
• 5. Medicinal, pot and aromatic herbs wholesale

At   the same time Agristar develops and strenghtens its positions at home and abroad as the producer of both raw material and finished products. It is one of the leading exporters of herbs in Croatia. The sale of its finished products spreads to trade centers throughout Croatia (to name some of them: Billa, Kaufland, Spar Hrvatska, Plodine, Kerum, Tommy, Biljemerkant, KTC, Velepromet, Patrichar, TP Varaždin and a great number of others), drug stores, health-food stores and grocery stores.

In   2005 the company received certificates for the management system ISO 9001:2000 and HACCP with an aim of strictly controlled production of products in sanitary proper condition.

Agristar received the prize Zlatna kuna (Golden Marten) awarded by the Croatian Chamber of Commerce, County Chamber of Osijek to the most successful company in 2002 in the category of small companies.
